News!

14 Jan

I have no knitting news.  Absolutely none.  Why, you ask?

and from farther away…

We are engaged!  I am so happy.  The ring was my Grandmother’s, which makes me happy since I wouldn’t want us to support the diamond trade.

That is all for now!

Wonderful news! When I remarried 5 years ago, my husband-to-be presented me with an heirloom from his family. There’s just something special about the continuity. I wish you both a long and happy life together.

Incidentally, I’m also a Highlander (Boulevard Napoleon, near the Douglass Loop) and discovered your blog when googling the Grinny Possum. Your knits are just beautiful – artistic, beautifully constructed, and perfect stitches. The last poster suggested you make a shawl for your wedding – I’d go with the mananita by meg swanson, from The Best of Knitter’s Shawls and Scarves or the rectangular lace dream by Eugene Beugler (a personal favorite) from the same book.

    Peace and be well.
