I started my shrug last night during breaks from Josephine (which is almost to the end of the lace on the back… I can’t wait to make up some shaping!) Malabrigo is so lovely. I expect this shrug to fly off the needles!
OoooooooH-I LOVE that color! I think you just made me ruin my yarn diet. I have been looking at Malabrigo to also make the Two-Toned Shrug. How many skeins did you purchase for yours. I was hoping I could get away with 2 skeins myself. I measure 17″ across the shoulders and normally wear a L size (very rarely a M if I go for a more fitted look). I have heard some people say that their shrug has come out too small.
Everything I’ve knit with Malabrigo has flown right off the needles! It’s just so nice to work with. I think the shrug will be lovely in just one tone!
I’ve been hearing good things about the Malabrigo laceweight lately, so now I’m dying to try that.
Awww – this is going to look so gorgeous! What a very beautiful colorway you chose, and I can well imagine that the Malabrigo is sheer heaven to work with! Happy knitting!
I’m headed up to Louisville with my husband tomorrow. He has a work conference, and I am planning to shop and hang out during the day. Any good yarn shop suggestions?
Welcome to my blog! My name is Jessica, and I'm a classical piano and voice teacher (as well as a working musician) from Louisville, Kentucky. This blog details my journey into DIY style. I love to sew and knit my own clothes, and I'm a dedicated thrift store shopper! I also love fashion, so I'm attempting to marry my interests without causing myself to go bankrupt. I love bright colors, full skirts, and vintage styles. I love to answer questions, and I can be reached by email at jmills01@gmail.com.
Yes Malabrigo is a true joy to behold…
Pretty color.
